WOW! What can I say, over the summer I was fortunate enough to take seven trips with Capt. Lee down to the Wye River in hopes of catching RockFish, also known as Striper up here on the Upper Chesapeake. At first, I didn’t know what to expect, because I had never been fishing from a boat before, let alone reel in the big fish Capt. Lee talked about. From the very first trip, we were hooked, catching 28 fish. He showed us how to work his spinning rods, retrieve the crankbaits, and he even informed us on the different elements that make these fish bite (tide, bait, structure, cloud cover, and sunlight). Over the next six trips, we averaged between 20-35 fish and had the times of our lives, and we can’t wait for Capt. Lee to come back home after school to take another trip.
